   Worshiping through music together with other believers is special and unifying.  Music has a unique way of blending hearts together toward one focus.  It is even more wonderful when that one focus is Jesus.  Deo Cantamus has the one focus of Jesus.  All the music, every rehearsal, each moment points to Him, the One and Only reason for our salvation.

   I grew up singing and playing music for Jesus at my Christian school, with my family, at my church, and then at my Christian college.  Since leaving Northwestern, I have been searching for a choir whose singular focus is Jesus.  Deo Cantamus is that group.  Music is not done for music’s sake but to point to the only one who matters – Jesus.  Having  now sung a few projects with Deo Cantamus, I am honored to be part of the board.

   Colossians 3:16-17 NIV. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
