Christa Christensen, "Let the Children Praise" Onsite Coordinator

Christa was raised in a Christian home and was often exposed to choral music. She couldn’t wait to be old enough to participate in the choir at church. She holds a B.A. in organizational studies from Bethel College and M.A. in Children and family ministry from Bethel Seminary.

Throughout high school and college she enjoyed singing artful songs, often with spiritual meaning. Once in the church choir, she loved the addition to worship but missed the more challenging artful songs. Deo Cantamus provided this combination.

Amanda Mielke, Graphic Designer

Amanda holds a degree in music education from Golden State Baptist College. She is always learning something new. A creative artist with a heart for helping churches and non-profit ministries, she enjoys learning classical guitar, teaching piano, reading, and photography.

As the graphic designer for Deo Cantamus, Amanda combines her musical and artistic passions to inspire others to support music that honors God.

Micah Tanis, Social Media Coordinator

Micah was born and raised in a pastor's family in Wisconsin and came to a saving knowledge of Christ through the children's ministry of Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. After graduating from Maranatha Baptist Bible College with a B.A. in Biblical Studies, he continued his ministry training through Maranatha Baptist Seminary and summers leading the TEAM, Counselors & kitchen at Camp Chetek before moving to Minnesota to pursue a Master of Divinity through Central Seminary in Plymouth. Joining the Timothy Mentor Program at First Baptist Church of Saint Francis, Micah began as a Pastoral Intern in the Fall of 2009 serving in the areas of Children's Ministry and College & Career. From 2010, Micah was also the Fundraising Coordinator and Athletic Director for SFCS.

From 2014 to 2023, Micah and his wife, Ranae enjoyed serving together in all areas of ministry at FBC Morris and have relocated to Saint Francis, MN where Micah has begun serving as the Director of Communications for Central Seminary in Plymouth. Ranae enjoys serving alongside their four children at Saint Francis Christian School.
