The Choral Scholars are singing musicians employed to enhance the musical offerings of the chorale, enrich the educational focus of the organization, and encourage the professional reputation of the organization. Choral Scholars will....

  •  ...be paid an appropriate stipend pursuant to their level of training and experience.
  • …be individuals who see themselves as someone who serves others with their gifts and training.
  • …complement the education focus of the organization by helping others to grow in musical skill.
  •  …have opportunity to worship through music in a way that is not typically found in the realm of professional music-making.

  • Professional Singer
    • Qualifications
      • Professionally trained and active singing musician with significant experience/reputation as a voice teacher, professional soloist, and/or professional choral singer.
    • Payment
      • $400 for the performance weekend, including Thursday/Friday rehearsals, logistical/sound check rehearsals, and two performances (Saturday and Sunday).
      • Additional compensation will be paid for work as a soloist and/or section leader.
      • Travel and lodging expense will be compensated as necessary.
  • Emerging Artist
    • Qualifications
      • Professionally trained and active singing musician with beginning experience as a voice teacher, professional soloist, and/or professional choral singer.
    • Payment
      • $400 for all rehearsals and two performances.
      • Additional compensation will be paid for soloist work.
      • Travel and lodging expense will be compensated as necessary.

The compensation amounts have been determined by surveying other professional choral organizations in an effort to find a comparative balance that fits within our budgetary constraints.
