"I had perceived by experience how that it was impossible to establish the lay people in any truth,
except the scripture were plainly laid before their eyes in their mother tongue,
that they might see the process, order, and meaning of the text."
When the wave of theological reform begun by Martin Luther in 1517 had spread to England, it motivated the brilliant linguist, William Tyndale, to dedicate his life to an English translation of the Bible. Join us as we commemorate the life, faith, and legacy of this overlooked scholar-saint.
This repeat performance will feature a Festival Choir and professional orchestra conducted by the composer, Dr. Joshua Bauder.
